Welcome to the Jungl…er!
If you’re a frequent League of Legends player, you’ll be familiar with the term Jungler. If you’re a n00b when it comes to the likes of LoL, here’s what you need to know:
Jungling is the practice of killing neutral “Monsters” located on some maps between the lanes. The Jungle refers to any area of the map that is not a lane or part of either team’s base, including the river that divides it. Junglers rely on killing neutral monsters in the jungle to keep up with their laning teammates in terms of gold and experience. In a standard 5-on-5 game of League of Legends, 4 players on a team will be Laners, and 1 player will be a designated Jungler.
Basically, as the Jungler, it’s your job to make sure your team is getting the resources that you need during a given match. The jungle holds treasures and experience that you can get by slaying monsters throughout the jungle. Sounds like a good plan, right? Players had to:
Play League of Legends for 30 minutes
Kill 1 minion that lives in the Jungle
Once they did that, they were automatically entered to win. Players were certainly up to the challenge!
While the Jungler’s might not be getting the big claim to fame, minus the occasional surprise plays and epic ganks, we wanted to spotlight this position with a weekend challenge all the about the Jungle! And what better way to do that than give away the ability to build up your music collection with a Spotify Gift Card, filled with enough cash for a premium subscription! In this case, the best resources were in the Jungle and those who played had their chance to get them all!
